Joseph Farrell Wade Comeaux Obituary
Farrell was born December 17, 1932 and raised in Vermillion Parish. After graduating from High School, he joined the United States Navy to serve his Country. After returning from the Navy, Farrell graduated from SLI of Lafayette. He taught elementary education and also coached basketball and football until he retired. During retirement, Farrell traveled to different areas of the world and was an avid supporter of Louisiana State University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
He is survived by many loved cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Oswald Comeaux; his parents, Walter Comeaux and the former Emma Broussard; his maternal grandparents, Henry Broussard and the former Louise Landry; and his paternal grandparents, Jules and Rosa Comeaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 910 N. Frederick Ave., on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 11:30 AM until the services at 1:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 12:30 PM.
Farrell's family would like to thank the staff at Southwind Nursing Center in Crowley, Ochsner Acadia General Hospital, Dialysis Clinic, Inc. of Crowley, Dr. Joshua P. Mammen and his neighbors. The compassion and care given to Farrell and our family was a blessing.
