Joseph G. Gallant

Joseph G. Gallant, 92, of Windsor, beloved husband of 72 years to Jane (McCool) Gallant, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Meadowbrook of Granby. He was born in Rumford, ME on May 27, 1930; a son of the late Leo and Marie Cecile (Fraser) Gallant. After high school Joseph proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korea era while stationed in Quantico , VA. Joseph was a proud communicant of St. Damien of Molokai Parish. He enjoyed traveling especially to Cape Cod and trips with friends to Poland Springs, ME. He was also an avid golfer and was a member of several golf leagues over the years.
In addition to his wife Jane, Joseph is survived by his children, Donna Wilbur and her husband Michael, Bob Gallant and his wife Rosemary, Sharon Loucks and her husband Richard, and Dennis Gallant and his significant other Debbie Gosselin; 10 grandchildren, Kristin Lehmann (Jason), Ryan Gallant, Michael Lynch, Stacy Wilcox, Kevin Jezouit, Lucas Gallant, James Gallant (Katie), Kelly Freeman (Brandon), R. Jonathon Loucks (Lynn), Robert Loucks; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Aiello, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sons, Richard and Kenneth Gallant.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 1747 Poquonock Ave., Windsor, CT. Entombment with military honors will take place in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
