Joseph George Jandura Jr., 76, of Richmond passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at home with loving family by his side.
He was born February 22, 1947, the son of the late Joseph Sr., and Genevieve (Tomon) Jandura.
His marriage to Paulette Marie Gillich was May 6, 1972 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Detroit.
Joseph was a parishioner at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond and a 1965 graduate of St. Anthony High School in Detroit.
Joseph was a kind, gentle person with a whitty sense of humor. He loved making chocolates for Christmas and handing them out to others as a gift, doing so earned him the nickname "Candy Man". He enjoyed hunting, bowling, softball and football.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Paulette; three daughters, Jennifer Jandura-Wells of New Haven, Jessica McDonald of Washington Township, and Jaclyn (Dragi) Kuzmanovski of Davison; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Jada, Blaze, Ryker, Brooklyn, Ivan and Dominic; three siblings, LaVerne Jandura, Christine (Michael) Jaquith and David Jandura.
The family honors the memory of Joseph and invites you to visit and share memories Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with a 6:00 p.m. rosary service. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday with 10:00 a.m. visiting at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond. Fr. Mark Livingston, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Richmond.
Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
