Joseph “Joe” Donald Parent, 34, of Waukesha, WI, died suddenly at his place of work as the result of an industrial accident on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Joe was born July 17, 1990, to Brian and Jeanette (Cooney) Parent in Green Bay, WI. Joe spent his early childhood in Green Bay where he was baptized at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, before moving to be raised in Niagara, WI, alongside his sisters, Megan and Bobbie. Joe was a patient and protective brother who was always there to listen to his sisters, and support them through good times and bad. Both agree he was the favorite child, and it was well earned. Joe was everything his parents could ask for in a son.

Following his graduation from Niagara High School, Joe worked proudly as a union laborer, Local 1329, for several years, before returning to Green Bay to complete his degree at Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College. In 2015, he met and fell in love with Cassidy Rentmeester. The two moved to Milwaukee, WI, in 2018 to pursue their careers before marrying on June 6, 2020. The couple moved to Waukesha in 2020 to be closer to Joe’s workplace and start their beautiful family.

On Dec. 4, 2021, Joe became a father after welcoming his first son, Henry. Just over a year later on Dec. 21, 2022, the family welcomed their second son, Joey. Joe’s greatest pride and gift was being a father. Joe loved to play and wrestle with his boys, as well as letting them wear his hats and help him with household projects. He was an amazing dad.

Joe was kind and hardworking. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. Most of all, Joe cherished time spent with family, especially his wife and children. He was the best Uncle and would drop whatever he was doing to have a nerf war with his nephew or listen to his endless stories about hunting or fishing. Joe was always there for any of his family or friends. His smile and his laugh could light up a room and he had the biggest heart. Joe will be deeply missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cassidy, Green Bay; his sons, Henry and Joey; his parents, Brian and Jeanette Parent, Niagara; Sisters Megan (Bryan) Bottesi, Iron Mountain, MI; Bobbie (Zach) Heim, Green Bay; mother-in-law, Kelly (Kevin) Jauquet; father-in-law Scott Rentmeester; sister-in law, Heather (Jake) Lens; brother-in-law, Wyatt Rentmeester; Treasured nieces and nephews, Macallan, Owen, Briella, Marra, Otto, Brogan, and Marlowe; his beloved dog, Harley; and countless extended family, friends and colleagues.

Joe is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Jim Parent; grandfather, Robert Cooney; Uncle sand Godfather, Bob Parent; Uncles, Donny and Todd; and Cousin, Timmy Parent.

Visitation will be held Thursday December 19, from 2 pm until 4:15 pm at Malcore Funeral Homes (East) 701 N Baird St. followed by the Funeral Mass across the street at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 710 N Baird St. at 4:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home for Joe's boys.
