BAKERSFIELD - Joseph R. Jutras, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2022, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born in Fairfield on March 6th, 1938, to the late Adhamer and Rhea (Cabana) Jutras.
Joseph met his lifelong partner of 55 years, Doris Jutras. After school Joseph entered the United States ARMY as an aircraft mechanic, he received many Good Conduct Medals and was known for being a sharpshooter. Mechanics were his passion, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR races. He loved being around family and went and visited often, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph worked many years as a Road Foreman for the Town of Fairfax and Town of Fletcher.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Jutras; children, Sheri Leclaire and her husband Edward, Lucinda Rooney and her husband James, Joe Jutras and his wife Joyce, Rita Jutras and her partner William Yager, and Greg Jutras and his wife Sandra, siblings, John Jutras and Nancy Bruce, sister-in-law, Mary Lumbra, and many grand-children, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his siblings, Roland Jutras, Frederick Jutras and Jane Ryea.
In respecting Joseph’s wishes, a service will be held at the convenience of the family.
