Joseph W. Kilian, 91, of Center Valley, Pennsylvania, passed May 3rd, 2025. Born October 20th, 1933 to parents Stephen and Elizabeth (Stout) Kilian, he was the husband of Victoria (Diehl) for 65 years.
Joe worked for Dale Footwear for 24 years, before working as a foreman for the Quakertown Borough for 22 years until his retirement. Joe was a cornerstone of his community- he was a life member of the Upper Saucon Fire Company, a baseball team manager, a member of the Spring Valley Sportsman Club, and was even an honorary sheriff for a year. He was known in his neighborhood as "Sherriff Joe", or sometimes just "the Sherriff", and was called to duty to straighten out the neighborhood kids on occasion. Joe would spend time on his porch watching the neighborhood, or would go out to sit at the picnic table with a beer and soon be joined by a flock of friends and neighbors. He enjoyed golfing in his later years, as well as bowling and maintaining his vegetable garden.
In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by his brothers Stephen (Marion), Carl (Mary), Sam, James (Mary), and John (Cathy), and sisters Gladys, Dorothy (Joseph), Betty (Melvin), and Rose.
Joe is survived by his wife Victoria, brothers Jake (Elise) and Robert (Barbara); sisters Elizabeth (Tom), Mary, and Ruth (William); and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services for Joe will be held Friday, May 9th, 2025 at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home 101-B N Main St, Coopersburg, PA 18036. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m, and burial in Union Cemetery Of Hellertown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joe's memory to Lehigh Valley Hospice Cedarcrest.
Services under the care of Norcross Weber Funeral Home (610) 434-9349.
