Joseph Kitchens, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed from this life on June 26, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on July 12, 1981, in Pine Bluff, he was the beloved son of Teresa Kitchens and Timothy "Orange" Armstrong.

Joseph was a man of deep compassion, unwavering faith, and quiet strength. He graduated from Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff and later received his certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), proudly dedicating his life to helping others. His lifelong dream was to become a registered nurse-a calling born from his genuine desire to care for those in need.

Joseph built a strong and steady career as a professional truck driver, working for Tyson Foods, TDC, and Dollar General. Delivering goods across the country, Joseph was known for his hard work, humility, and dependability. In 2023, Joseph took a meaningful step in his faith and joined Lively Stone Church, under the leadership of District Elder Alane Allen and First Lady Philomena Allen.

On August 19, 2023, Joseph married the love of his life, Maranda Amos Kitchens. Together, they created a home rooted in love, faith, and service. Joseph's heart extended far beyond his own family-he was a devoted father to his daughter, Cerenity Cox, and a guiding light to his foster children: Lauryn King, Ahnesti Hall, Jayla Davis, and Messiah Battles.

Joseph was preceded in death by his cherished grandmother Ethel Cline, a special aunt Sheila Chandler, and brother Maurice Taggart, who held a lasting place in his heart.

Joseph leaves behind his loving wife Maranda; daughter Cerenity; foster children; step-daughters Brianna (Terrish) Harris of Stuttgart, AR and Tatyanna Powell of Little Rock, AR; step- sons Chyvontae Powell, Draylene Hudson, Keenen Hudson, all of Stuttgart, AR, and Jordan Hudson of Houston, TX; father Timothy (Orange) Armstrong of Pine Bluff, AR; mother Teresa Kitchens of Wabbaseka, AR; five brothers Christopher Kitchens of Wabbaseka, AR, Timothy Armstrong III of Pine Bluff, AR, Aaron (Chrishauna)Taggart III of Pine Bluff, AR, Cedric (Adanari) Taggart of Minneapolis, MN, and Tyrone Taggart of Little Rock, AR; two sisters Joyell (Tasha) Kitchens of Pine Bluff, AR and Tiffany Taggart of Sherwood, AR; two special nephews Christopher Kitchens, Jr. and Tredamien Kitchens; a special niece Amber Kitchens; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Joseph's legacy is one of kindness, faith, and service. Whether behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, caring for others, or lifting his hands in praise, Joseph lived a life of purpose, compassion, and deep love. He will be remembered always for his gentle spirit, enduring strength, and the light he brought to others.

"To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."
