It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph G. Leonard Jr., age 68, who passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. His hobbies were photography, tinkering in his shop, and baking the best cookies. Joe worked for over thirty years in telecommunications, but his biggest accomplishment in life was having three beautiful and amazing daughters. We will always remember Joe for his loving heart and unwavering fighting spirit. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Leonard Sr.; mother, Delores Leonard; sister, Pamela Beene; and daughter, Tana Jones. He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-one years, Sandra Leonard; sister, Kimberly Trent; two daughters, Kristen Leonard-Heidle (Danny) and Carrie Godin (Glenn); seven grandchildren, Joshua, Hunter (Indie), Julie (Joe), Kinzie (Roger), Joseph, Jacob, and Davis; three great-grandchildren, Xzavier, Vera, and Vance; and many nieces and nephews, whom all meant the world to him. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Friday, March 7, 2025, at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Dr. Alan Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rest in peace Joe and know that you will forever be in our hearts. Online obituary and guest register are available at www.rosefuneraltn.com.
