"Joey" as he was known by his friends and family, was born on May 15, 1984, in Carmel, NY and was the beloved son of Joseph and Cheryl (Eible) Macaluso. He was a proud graduate of Carmel High School and Siena College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked as a recruiter for Robert Half International in Albany for almost 15 years.
Known for his warmth, enthusiasm to talk to anybody and variety of interests, Joey had an innate ability to connect with others. His passions included collecting antiques and coins (among many other things), cooking, traveling and music. Through these interests, he forged lifelong friendships.
Joey is survived by his parents, Joseph and Cheryl; his girlfriend, Meagan O'Neill; his sisters and their husbands, Joanna and Carlo Fazio and Jessica and Brendan Burgdorf; his nephews, Roméo, Calvin, and Reid; his grandparents, Archilia Macaluso and Charles and Joanne Eible; as well as a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3-7 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11 am. Both will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
Joseph will be dearly missed, but his spirit, kindness, and the countless memories he leaves behind will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

To Joe's family and friends,
So very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I was not aware he was ill. Joe helped me with a few jobs in the last 15 years; even if we didn't talk for a while, he remembered me! He was always kind and considerate and genuinely interested in how I was doing.

My deepest condolences to Joe's family, friends and loved ones. I met Joe his first year at Robert Half and he immediately had my trust and partnership. He was one of the most genuine, warm souls I've met and had the pleasure to work with. I was not aware he was ill and feel terrible for not reaching out. His memory will always be one of his warm smile and willingness to help.

My deepest condolences to Joe´s family, beloved better half and friends. I´ve known Joe for almost his entire career at Robert Half. He´s helped me so many times and also became a friend through the years. He loved talking about antiquing, and I´ll cherish many memories with him. You´ll be missed by so many. We are sincerely sorry for the loss of Joe. We were aware of his sickness from many texts with Joe the past year, yet his passing is heartfelt. Joe is at peace now with no more pain and suffering, yet we feel his loss deeply. My wife interacted with Joe at Siena College and Joe assisted me greatly in providing me solid temp and perm workers in his works with Robert Half Employment Agency. I could always count on Joe to deliver a solid candidate to me. We had many staff employments work out successfully. We loved working with Joe who had great people skills and was a nice guy.

I´m so incredibly sorry! My family sends you all of our love.
Joey was one of my best friends growing up. I can´t even begin to count the amount of days we spent hiking through the woods or going to the local ponds to catch crayfish, salamanders or whatever animal we could possibly find. I´m so grateful for the time I got to spend with him as a kid. Joey, you will be truly missed. The world lost an absolute gem of a person today.
