Joseph T. Masciantonio, 92, of Robesonia, passed away in the comfort of his home on February 3, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Fred Masciantonio and Agusta (Coccia). Joseph was the loving husband of Laura N. (Neugebauer) with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Joseph was a graduate of Southern High School in Philadelphia. Following graduation, he attended trade school, studying electric and plumbing. Joseph continued his education at Penn State, where he studied agriculture. He started his own business, specializing in plumbing and heating, retiring in 1991.
Joseph was exceptionally intelligent and a very positive being. He was a mastor mason, an artistic painter, and completed some impressive renovations in his home.
In addition to his spouse, Joseph is survived by his son, Eric Masciantonio (Damaris) and his daughter, Taryn Massicotte (David). Also surviving is his brother, Alfred Masey.
Joseph was predeceased by his son, Joseph Masciantonio.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10AM in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading. Burial will follow.

Dear Daddy I have a lovely memory of watching The Wizard of Oz for the first time You and Mom had gone to Palumbo's as we did lived in South Philly Neighbor Eileen Bennett babysat you guys asked her to watch this movie with me she looked so sixties with long hair and bangs Thats when I knew I wanted to sing after watching Dorothy When you guys came home I could hear your footsteps moms high heels You asked if I liked the movie I said yes and is Dorothy going to be ok you said yes she will be ok thank you for showing me song music and the way a song lyric can be so powerful if it is simple and meaning I miss you more now than ever I'll be ok Daddy I'll be in touch soon love Taryn
