Although what seems like customers come into stores they buy the product and leave and you never give it another thought.. Joe was different, Joe was very sweet, patient , kind and had a book of jokes that could make us laugh even on the worst days! We at smokes4less in Poughkeepsie are very sad to hear of his passing, he was a one of a kind man and not just a customer but our friend, over the last 10 years we have all developed our own unique friendships with Joe. condolences to his whole family from us

Deborah and family, on behalf of the Officers,Staff and Members of IUOE Local 137 I want to express our condolences to all of your family from children to great grandchild.Joe was such a fun loving member who enjoyed or I should say loved being an Operating Engineer and was proud of mastering his profession as a Crane Operator. He made working with him fun by always causing his crew to laugh. His infectious smile and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all of his sister and brother members Operating Engineers along with other craft affiliates whom had the pleasure of working with Joe.Rest in Peace brother Joe knowing you brightened the lives of all those whose lives you touched. Joe stepped into being my father. He was the best step father I could have asked for. We were handfuls!!!! He instantly took on the job of father and never made me feel he wasn't biologically mine. He always made me laugh and always saw the light in everything! He definitely was the life of the party! He got up at 5 a.m. every morning, put those work boots on and grabbed his hard hat and operated that crane faithfully! He made it happen! He was a true hearted good man and a very hard worker! He loved my mother with all his heart, as well as her children and grandchildren! Joe was the definition of a real man! I love you Joe! Until we meet again DAD!
