Joseph A. Monaco, 73, of North Caldwell, passed away on Saturday, April 12,2025.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, Central Ave., North Caldwell.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., Mr. Monaco was a resident of North Caldwell, for many years.
He was employed as a special education teacher and coach for over 37 years by the Yonkers Board of Education in New York before retiring.
Joe's antidotes and one liners could make anyone's day. He touched everyone around him, always being the teacher and coach that came naturally to him. You always left a conversation with Joe, feeling better about yourself.
Joe lived a wonderful and fulfilling life with his beloved wife of 41 years Madeline (nee Zazzara) Monaco; loving daughter Giovanna Monaco Singer and son-in-law, Brandon Singer, and cherished grandson, Claudio Singer.
Joe will be deeply missed by his family and friends, whose lives he touched with love and laughter. He had a special way about him. Everyone who met Joe always had something to smile about later, always!
