Joseph A. Murdy, (67) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on November 5, 2024. Joseph, known to all by Joe, was born January 10, 1957 to the late Theresa (Mastriano) and Clarence (Art) Murdy. He is preceeded in death by his brother, Art, sister Maryanne Murdy, his beloved wife Terry (Pivik) Murdy and is survived by his two children Christopher Murdy and Tiffany (Ethan) Isel. He married his devoted wife Terry in 1976 and they celebrated 38 wonderful years together. Joe started his career young, working with his uncles and father in the moving industry when he found his dream-being an owner of a well-known, prestigious, family owned moving company. Joe and Terry purchased their moving company, Movin' Murdy, in 2002 and Joe created a well-respected company where everyone knew Movin' Murdy was Movin' on. Joe was known to many as a caring, kind, and strong man who always had a smile on his face and advice to give. He never let a day pass him by, even when it was difficult to get around. Joe loved to travel to many places and will be forever remembered as a fighter. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's as Joe always made it a point to support them. There will be a celebration of Life at a later date.
