Joseph Anthony Musacchia, Sr. passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 surrounded by his family, in Tickfaw, Louisiana, at the age of 67. He was born on Sunday, November 27, 1949 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Lena Musacchia and the late Joseph John Musacchia. He was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana. Joseph was also a long time member of the Tickfaw Knights of Columbus, Blessed Mother Society, and The Last Supper. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sue Catalanatto Musacchia; sons, Lt. Colonel Joseph A. Musacchia and his wife Teresa, Brad T. Musacchia and his wife Karlie; daughter in law, Rochelle Keeling; lifelong friends, Charles and Debbie Trabona; grandchildren, Joseph Musacchia, Anthony Musacchia, Magdaline "Maggie" Musacchia, Hunter Musacchia, Nicholas Musacchia, and Andrew Musacchia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph John Musacchia and Lena Musacchia; son, Patrick W. Musacchia; sister, Virginia Musacchia; and father and mother-in-law, Luke and Wanda Catalanatto. A Visitation for Joseph will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. We will then proceed to Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw for a 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating Joseph's Life.
