Joseph Prevost

The measure of a life well lived is not based on the wealth amassed or the power wielded, it is on the lives you've made a difference in. Simply put, is the world a demonstrably better place because you were in it? Joseph (Joe) Prevost passed away on March 8th, just over a month shy of his 79th birthday, and while he was with us, he touched the lives of thousands.
Born in Worcester, MA to Joseph and Mary Prevost, Joe moved to Bay County as an infant where he went on to attend St. Andrews Grammar School, Jinks Junior High, and Bay High (Class of 1962). For college Joe attended Gulf Coast Junior College and Troy State University (Pi Kappa Phi).
Joe was a social studies teacher at Everitt Junior High and Mowat Middle School, where he made the often dry subjects of geography and history come alive for close to 40 years. During that same time, Joe also served as a coach for baseball, soccer, football, basketball, and golf. Giving away countless hours, often as a volunteer, to provide kids with a safe place to learn about what it means to work hard, be part of a team, and have fun.
Joe is survived by his wife Devin (DeeDee) Prevost, his daughter Jennifer Morgan, and his grandson Gabriel.
Coach Prevost's Celebration of Life will be at Sudduth Ball Park, Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
