Joseph M. Sabbe, 83, of Mishawaka, IN passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. Joe was born in Eernegem, Belgium to the late George and Martha (DeVos) Sabbe. On November 30, 1963, he married Nancy Lee Rankin who preceded him in death on January 17, 2014. Joe is survived by his sons, Mark Sabbe and Eric (Alison) Sabbe; grandchildren, Claire, Georgia and Lila; sister, Marie Smith; and brothers, Michael Sabbe and Donald (Joan) Sabbe.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 2 pm-5 pm at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Monday, July 3, 2023 at St. Bavo Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka.

Joe was a very dear friend of mine. We first met in 8th grade. His sister Marie remembered me and reconnected us seven years after his wife passed away. We spent many hours on the phone "catching up" and reminiscing.I will miss Joe and those phone calls. He was truly a very nice man. RIP Joe, you have earned your heavenly reward.
