Joseph Small, Age 97. Passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023. Proud WW II Naval Armed Guard veteran. Of Manteno, IL., formerly a 62-year resident of Oak Lawn, IL. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years Irma, nee Boehm, son Daniel, and all of his siblings, Rose (Fred) Ratkay, Agnes (James) Adams, Frances (Louis) Sharpe, John (Mary) Small, and George Small. Loving father of Sandra (Gary) Spano. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, and his special people Cross and Bella Born in Tower Hill, PA.,the son of Lily, nee Delinsky and Joseph Small. He worked for the University of Illinois for 35 years.

Joe I can't tell you enough the impact you had on Fred and myself
Fred still waits for you at the end of the walkway..I so loved our talks you made life here so much more bearable..you would talk about how you and your wife you love to jitterbug I know that you are both dancing ..it was an honor to know you I am forever grateful that I got to know a fellow navy vet....that willforever have an impact on my life for the better...I salute you sir and Fred does too
