Joseph G. Soranno

Joseph G. Soranno passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 20, 2024, at the age of 87.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his loving children Joseph Soranno (Kathy), Gina Migliaccio (Gary), Paul Soranno (James Johnson), and his cherished grandchildren Jenna Soranno Longen (Tim Longen), Angelia Migliaccio, and Julia Soranno.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marie Soranno, and his brother Angelo Soranno.
Born August 29, 1936 in Bitetto/ Bari, Italy, Joseph was the son of the late Paolo Soranno and Eugenia Masagna Soranno. He came to the United States at the age of 16. Joseph served in the US Army for two years before beginning his career as a printer. In his later years, he enjoyed driving cars for dealer trades for BMW and Mercedes Benz.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite New York teams on television. He loved his Italian food and telling childhood stories, of his days in Italy, with his grandchildren. He always enjoyed spending his summer in the garden, planting and tending to his tomatoes and fig tree. At the end of a long day, Joseph found relaxation and joy in catching up on his political news while spending quality time with the dogs.
Family and friends are invited to Joseph's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA, 19401, then on Thursday, June 27, 2024 a visitation will be held from 10:00AM until his funeral mass at 11:00AM at St. Helena's Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Interment will immediately follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
