Joseph "Joe" Michael Walsh, 49, passed away on November 10, 2025, in Indian Trail, North Carolina. He was born on July 26, 1976, in Nassau, New York, to Mary and Michael Walsh.

Joe attended SUNY Old Westbury, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance. Over the years, he lived in Melville, NY, and Reston, VA, before settling in Indian Trail, NC. He built a successful career as a manager of mortgage underwriting and shared his love of sports and leadership by coaching youth basketball at Union Academy for six years.

Joe lived life with passion and energy. He was an avid CrossFitter, martial artist, mountain biker, and hiker. A second-degree black belt in AISOK Jujutsu, he approached every challenge with discipline and enthusiasm. Joe also loved brewing his own beer, competing in fantasy football and basketball leagues, and grilling the perfect steak.

Known for his quick wit, big heart, and unforgettable sense of humor, Joe was a storyteller, a jokester, and a master of the dad joke. He made friends everywhere he went and brought laughter to every room he entered.

A man of faith, Joe was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and ability to bring people together.

He is survived by his daughter, Kiera Walsh of Indian Trail, NC; his son, Ryan Walsh of Indian Trail, NC; his parents, Mary Walsh of Melville, NY, Michael Walsh of Islandia, NY; sister, Catherine (John) Carey of Kings Park, NY; twin brother, Christopher Walsh of East Islip, NY; sister, Patricia (Bryant) Tittmann of Patchogue, NY; sister, Teresa (Jay) Tyrrell of Bayshore, NY; sister-in-law, Lorraine Kennedy of Indian Trail, NC; nieces, Abigail Tittmann, Emilie Carey, Isabella Tyrrell; nephews, James Stryska, John Stryska, Francis Tittmann, Andrew Carey, William Tyrrell.
