Josephine M. Duckworth

Josephine M. Duckworth, aged 99, of North Wales and a longtime resident of Norristown, passed away on January 2, 2026. Born on August 6, 1926, in Bridgeport, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Stephen J. and Jennie (Puchalski) Gober. Josephine was the cherished wife of the late Paul L. Duckworth.

Josie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi in Norristown. She had a passion for gardening and was an avid fan of the Phillies.

She is survived by her loving grandchildren: Paul S. Duckworth and his wife Allison of Lansdale, Pamela S. Duckworth of Quakertown, Karen R. Merchant and her husband Donald of Indian Trail, NC, and Stephen M. Duckworth and his wife Jessica of Perkasie. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan M. Duckworth of Quakertown, and her stepdaughter, E. Pauline Harris of Hanover.

Josephine was predeceased by her son, Paul R. Duckworth, and her stepdaughter, Sara Carlson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the chapel at George Washington Memorial Park, located at 80 Stenton Ave, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
