Josephine I. King

Josephine I. King, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at the Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville, NY, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on June 4, 1942, in Carthage, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Marguerite (Huse) Cauley.
Her life was graced by 50 wonderful years of marriage to her husband, Robert H. King, before his passing on October 19, 2021.
Josephine led a life characterized by her devotion to her loved ones. She was the beloved matriarch who, alongside her late husband Robert H. King, raised a close-knit family. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Defilippo, Bonnie Myers, Richard Myers Jr. (Pauline), Robert King, and Mark King (Hollie); brother, Tim Cauley; grandchildren, Rich, Kenneth (Rose), Amanda, Nate, Bailey, Maddie, and Jake; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Joel, Jin, and Arietta; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Josephine is predeceased by her siblings Kent and Tommy Cauley, and Jackie Christman, Janice Gately and Myrna Cauley.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
The family invites everyone to attend Josephine's celebration of life after the service at their family home.
Interment will be held in the springtime at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
Memorial donations in Josephine's memory may be made to the Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY. They also want to thank the facility for the wonderful care given to Josephine during her stay.
