Marilyn C. Corbett, age 77, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, leaving behind a life filled with joy and love.
Born on May 28, 1948, in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Fay and Florence (Kovarik) Jeffers.
Marilyn's life was defined by an unwavering spirit of warmth and kindness that touched everyone she met. Her family was her greatest treasure, and the many joyful gatherings and quiet, tender moments shared with them were the very essence of her happiness.
In 1968, Marilyn married James Corbett, forging a partnership of love and dedication that flourished for decades. Together, they built a family that grew to include her cherished children, Shannon Myers (Donald) and Jim Corbett; her grandchildren, Sarah, Alicia, and Joshua; and later, her great-grandchildren, Nolan and Murphie. She is also survived by her twin brother, George Jeffers (Lucinda); her sister, Margaret Watson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who join in celebrating her memory.
A family celebration will be held at a later date.
The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice online at https://mvhcares.org/get-involved/donate-online/.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
