Josephine "Jennie" Yazzie Munoz, 87, was called to see her Savior in Heaven on March 20, 2024 surrounded by family.

Jennie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was born in Denver, Colorado on March 24, 1936. She leaves behind her son, Edward Yazzie; sister, Dorothy Bailey; brother, George Bailey; 2 granddaughters, Audrey Yazzie and Lilly Hernandez; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson, Leoncio Palomino.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Folks and John B Yazzie; brothers, Nick, Lawerence and Ralph; her only daughter, Mary Ann Hernandez; and grandson, Pete Hernandez.

Family and loved ones will remember Little Grandma Jennie as a kind, loving, crazy lady. If you needed anything she was always there and she never said "no". She enjoyed spending time with her family and could always be found at the local Bingos. She loved going to the casinos with her brother George and his Wife Leanna shouting "VAMANOS!". She always enjoyed life. Even at the end, she found the strength to smile and laugh with her family. She will be remembered for her words "I love you for you."

Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home, 4750 Tejon St. Denver, CO 80211 at 1pm to 4pm. She will be laid to rest aside her mother and brothers.

Reception will be held at El Palenque, 490N Main St. Brighton, CO 80601 at 6pm to 10pm.

Memorials to the family for future designation.
