Josephine "Jay" Petrelli, age 96, of Secane, PA, passed away on September 14, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Giacomo and Frances Pascetta (nee Vaccara).
Jay’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of love, generosity, and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jay, a vibrant soul who cherished for her love for parties, lived life to the fullest filled with adventure, travel and treasured memories. Jay was a woman of boundless energy and generosity. She was a dedicated member of the Primos-Secane Swim Club and found officiating the swim meets, running the snack bar or playing cards in the boardroom after closing. She enjoyed running events and teaching at the YMCA. Her creative spirit shone through in her love for crafts and card games, always gathering friends and family for activities filled with laughter and warmth.
Beyond her personal passions, Jay was a force of good in her community, volunteering and fundraising for various organizations. Her contributions will continue to resonate in the lives of those she touched.
Jay was the beloved wife of the late Andrew "Herb" Petrelli; loving mother of Stephen Petrelli, William Petrelli (Shirley), Joy Smith, and Lori Evans; caring grandmother of Daniel, Jonathan, Ryan, Brynae, Mark, Andrew, and Jason; caring sister of Elaine Deihl. Also survived by her several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 7 siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jay's Viewing 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Dr., Secane, PA 19018, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Fernwood Cemetery.
