Josephine Petrizzo, 99 of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Township, New Jersey, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at her home. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, moved to Jersey City. and then lived in Clark, New Jersey before moving to Berkeley Township 41 years ago. Josephine worked in Retail Sales at Sandler's in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, in Toms River, New Jersey and taught ceramics.
Josephine is predeceased by her parents, John Petrucci; Catherine DeVito; husband, Ambrose; son Anthony and daughter in law, Joanne.
Josephine is survived by her dear son John Petrizzo of Hazlet, New Jersey; her loving grandchildren; Ann Marie and Joseph of Hazlet; brother in law, Pete Dipetta; sister in law, Jane Petrizzo and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday July 14, 2024 from 3pm to 7pm at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Monday July 15, 2024, at St. Joseph's RC Church, Toms River, New Jersey with Entombment to follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Josephine's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
