Pasquale Petrizzo

Pasquale Petrizzo, a longtime Middletown resident, business owner and beloved husband, father, grandfather, died at home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was 89.
The son of the late Demetrio and Paolina Pinto Petrizzo, he was born on April 1,1934 in Sassano, Italy. Pasquale was named after being born on Easter Sunday, known as Pasqua in Italian; he loved sharing this with others. Pasquale immigrated to the United States in 1961 and took great pride in raising his family here. He became a self-taught painting contractor and shared his skill with many family members and friends. He married Michelina DeRosa in 1967 and the two were partners both in life and business.
He is survived by his loving family, his loving wife, Michelina, sons; Danny and Anthony, daughter; Paula and her husband Franco Fidanza, grandchildren; Sabrina, Raffaele, Alessia, Giada Fidanza and Guila Petrizzo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Entombment will follow in the Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan.
