Josephine Zembower

Cumberland, MD- Josephine Zembower, 95, of Cumberland, MD, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born December 27, 1928 in Keyser, WV, Ms. Zembower was the daughter of the late Dewey H. Everett and Irene (Dixon) Everett. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years: James Cortes Zembower; her sisters: Elaine DuVall, Dorothy Weigand, Helen Twigg, and Deloris Miller.
Josephine attended Allegany High School and was employed at McCrory's until she married. She was a stay at home mother until her children were grown and then babysat several children in the area. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed baking. She was also a cat lover.
Josephine is survived by her daughters: Deborah Dennison and husband Rusty; Leslie Moreland and husband Brock; and Cathy Zembower and Matt Dillon; her grandchildren: Zachary Moreland and wife Lisa; and Carly Moreland and husband Tyler Pryor; her sisters: Patsy Conn and Shirley Nameth; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
