Josh Bryan, 33, of Nicholasville, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital after complications from reconstructive jaw surgery. Born to the late David and Catherine Yunt Bryan on March 21, 1992. Josh has lived with Goldenhar syndrome, a rare congenital defect that affects the development of the ear, nose, soft palate, lip and mandible usually on one side of the body. He had his first corrective surgery when he was just seven weeks old and went on to endure at least 15 more procedures.
Josh made a significant contribution to the life-changing, Taylor Made School of Horsemanship. Serving as its first training coordinator, Josh helped to develop the training curriculum and united Taylor Made Farm with Stable Recovery. These efforts have gone on to save hundreds of lives. In recent years, Josh has moved on to serve as an apprentice Thoroughbred Advisor and assistant to the Director of New Business Development at Taylor Made.
Josh lived a life of service. He was very active in the recovery community and was a devout Catholic and regularly attended Holy Spirit Parish, Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, and St. Peter Claver. He is survived by his sister, Nicole Young (Derrick) and nieces Aurora and Bianca. Josh is also survived by his very large extended and adoptive family of Yunts, Taylors, and Bryans and his Stable Recovery and Taylor Made Families.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm Friday April 25, 2025 at the Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday at the Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road. A private family burial will be Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Remember Josh as a teenager working at Kroger. A good kid, well mannered and hard working. So glad to read about his calling at the Taylor Made Recovery. I know he made a difference. Very saddened about his passing. Rest in peace.

Man, Josh...You are a dear friend and i am still in shock. The sales will never feel the same without you running around helping everyone. You are smart, witty, intelligent, kind, patient, talented.... Heaven got a good one. I am so glad you did your surgery and had the new face you so desired before you went Home. I hate how that is how we lost you. You were an Angel a long time ago and saved so many and taught so much that I am so grateful we had you in our lives at all.
Terribly missed.

You were one of the few, that gave back more than you received. For that I am very grateful. You will be missed brother.

I never met Josh, but his story was the first thing I read when I woke up today, it broke my heart. He seemed like a wonderful human dealt a very difficult hand. God bless his uncle who showed him he had self worth before the world lost him. My condolences to everyone who will feel the great hole he will leave.
