Joshua Brandes Obituary
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 7th, 2024 at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise. Family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Joshua was born July 11th, 1981 in Amarillo, Texas. He was united in marriage April 22nd, 2006 to Laura Hilton in Ellis County, Texas. Joshua was a Fire Engine Operator with the Irving Fire Department, also a Police Officer for the Decatur Police Department in Wise County. He was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend to many who will dearly miss him.
He was preceded in death by Papa, Bruce Ariola, MawMaw, Katherine Ariola, and Uncle, James Allen Ariola.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Laura Brandes; his sons, Zachariah, Hannon, and Sloan; mother, Janice Harvey; father Nathan Harvey; father, Dan Brandes; siblings, Matthew Brandes, Danyelle Billington, Shawna Ives, Chandy Evans, and J.J. Moore; aunt, Sulynn "Do" Mester, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The first day I met my baby brother is my first memory of Josh. I was beyond blessed to have him as my only brother for 43 years. Life will never be the same without him.
