Canton- Joshua "Josh" Keith Chambers, age 42, is a young man who has left this world too soon; but a special man who has left a legacy of goodness and kindness that will live on forever. Our hearts are saddened by his passing on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, a day that has changed our lives and a day that we shall never forget.
He was born August 23, 1981, in the mountains of Haywood County, where he has spent his whole life. He was proud of his heritage and his hometown of Canton, where he has made many friends and many memories. Josh was a man who was loved by everyone. He was surrounded by a loving family and a multitude of friends who will miss him every day. He was raised by a wonderful family who taught him the important values of honesty, respect, and kindness, and who always supported him and encouraged him throughout his life.
Josh was a hard worker and a dependable employee. He had been employed with NAPA and Advance Auto Parts in Canton as a store manager for many years and he also worked at Haywood Appliance in Clyde, where he delivered and installed appliances for customers. Josh had a knack for mechanics and could fix any type of vehicle. He was always willing to help others with their cars, motorcycles or trucks or just offer advice. His greatest passion was his motorcycle. Josh loved to ride with his family and friends, feeling the freedom and thrill of the road. He was a skilled rider and a respected member of the motorcycle community.
Josh loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, swimming, and spending time at the lake. He was always happy being at the beach and feeling the ocean breeze and the rushing waves. A favorite pastime of watching movies, especially Star Wars and Marvel movies were great fun for Josh.
He leaves us with many cherished memories and Josh lived by the quote, "Everything happens for a reason". He believed that there was a purpose and a meaning behind everything that happened in his life, whether it was good or bad, He trusted that God had a plan for him and he accepted everything that came his way with grace and gratitude.
