Joshua Dixon Obituary

Visit the Neal Funeral Home - Cleveland website to view the full obituary.

Joshua Daniel Dixon, a devoted servant of the Lord, left this world on July 18, 2025, at the tender age of 23. Born on July 18, 2002, in Humble, Texas, his life was a passionate tapestry woven with love, faith, and cherished moments. His spirit radiated joy, particularly through his marriage to Tanna Nicole Dixon, whom he had known as a childhood friend. Their connection blossomed over the years, culminating in a beautiful reunion as husband and wife on July 7, 2025. Joshua took immense pride in this sacred bond, celebrating every moment shared with Tanna, his partner not just in life, but was also his hunting and fishing buddy.

A lover of the outdoors, Joshua found solace in the natural world around him. He cherished the times spent fishing, often inviting friends along, not merely for the thrill of the catch but to share the gospel and instill the love of Christ into the hearts of those around him. He had a profound calling, and in every Bible study he led, he was a beacon of light, tirelessly working as a "Soul Winner," a true Fisher of Men, reaching out to hearts and souls with unwavering devotion.

Joshua’s family was a meaningful part of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tanna; loving parents, Steven Dewayne Dixon and Carrie Marie Dixon; brothers, Matthew Dixon and Jonathan Dixon; and his sister, Bethany Dixon. Together, they mourn the loss of a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend, whose impact on their lives is immeasurable. Joshua also leaves behind a multitude of cherished relatives and a host of loyal friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness, laughter, and faith.

Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, R.L. Dixon, and grandmother, Barbara Ann Dula Dixon; His maternal grandfather, Daniel Arlander Swinford as well as his late uncle, Daniel Lynn Dixon, and aunt, Mary Jean Dixon, with all who welcomed him at Heaven's Pearly Gates.

A visitation will be held on July 27, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, followed by a funeral service that will honor his life at 5:00 PM. An additional funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM at Charity Church of Jesus Christ located at 3750 CR 201 Walnut, Mississippi 38683. He will then be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at Community Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Walnut, Mississippi, on August 2, 2025. The journey to remember and celebrate Joshua’s life will encompass everything he stood for: love, faith, and the joy of being in the embrace of family and friends—a heart both in heaven and in their memories.
