We say goodbye to our much-loved brother, friend, and father, Joshua Jordan "Pops" Martin, 64, of Roy, Utah. He passed away March 21, 2024, with his brothers Holland Absher and Terry Miller by his side as he took his last breath. We will cherish all the memories.
Josh attended Ben Lomond High School, worked construction, UDOT highway crew and after many years of loyal service to Walmart DC (Distribution Center) where he made many friends, he retired due to his illness over a year ago.
Josh retired to a life of fishing in the Uintah's, camping, and time with friends and family. It's hard to say if Josh loved the great outdoors or holiday décor better, but the love was big. Josh was always willing to help someone out. He loved his family deeply.
Josh was preceded in death by both parents Howard Martin and Colleen Absher; son Jason Martin; brother Mathew Martin; sisters Ruth Thompson and Mary D. Dell. He is survived by his son Cody Martin and family; sisters Elaine (Marc) Allan and Janice (Todd) Martin; brother Holland Absher; and many more nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family would like to thank McKay Dee nursing staff and the IHC Hospice for all the understanding, support and care provided to Josh. And a special thanks to friend Brian Halterman for supporting Josh and the family at the end of Josh's life.
Graveside service will be Friday, March 29, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Services entrusted to Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
