Joshua was born on April 5, 1990 a son of Brian Newell and Jacqueline MacDougall-Newell.
He was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School and Amsterdam High School class of 2008. He was a lifelong area resident.
Joshua worked for Excel Inc. in Johnstown for a time before his illness.
Joshua was a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan and enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He truly adored his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents Brian Newell of Amsterdam and Jacqueline MacDougall Newell and Stepfather Benjamin Hume of Amsterdam. His beloved brothers and sisters, Justin Newell of Amsterdam, Brandy (Kyle) Wadsworth of Gloversville, NY, Christopher (Sarah) Hume of Gloversville, Cory Hume (Keri) of Amsterdam, NY, Jennifer (Adam) Loveless, Samantha Hume of Amsterdam. Aunts and uncles Twelve nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
A Celebration of Joshua's life will take place on Saturday November 16th, 2024 from 1 until ? at the Snowed Inn Pavilion, 375 Midline Rd., Amsterdam, NY 12010. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam, NY 12010. Please visit Joshua's tribute at www.roseandhughesfh.com
