Josh was born on January 15, 1986 in Memphis, Tennessee to Jerry and Deborah Tucker.
He was well known as "Dirty White" and "Dirty." He fell in love with a Jeep Scrambler that he bought in earlier years, and spent many hours restoring it with his dad, creating lasting memories from the time it took piecing things together. When he bought it, there was a funny decal sticker on the windshield from the previous owner that said "dirty white boy," and from that day on, everyone called him "Dirty White" and "Dirty." He often talked about how much he loved that Jeep and how he wished he had never sold it.
Josh was a remarkable man with a profound love for the outdoors. His heart was happiest when he was hunting, especially during his cherished days spent deer and turkey hunting with friends and family. It was one of his favorite things to do with his beloved wife, Kayla. Known for his exceptional skills as a turkey hunter, Josh found joy in nature and the thrill of the hunt.
"Dirty White" also enjoyed going off-roading, especially in his FJ Cruiser. Every year, he looked forward to trips to Windrock Park in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, where he had so much fun exploring with his buddies.
Traveling was another passion for Josh. He had a special fondness for visiting Colorado and the breathtaking landscapes of the west. His adventurous spirit brought him joy, and he loved sharing those experiences with others.
Josh had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. He was always ready with a funny story or a silly joke, bringing laughter and joy to everyone around him. His ability to connect with others made him not only a friend but also a light in many people's lives.
In his role as a nurse, Josh was truly phenomenal. He built strong relationships with his patients, showing them compassion and understanding. They loved him for his warm personality and genuine care.
Family was at the center of Josh's life. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, always prioritizing time with them. His love for his wife, Kayla, was immeasurable. She was his greatest treasure, and he dedicated his heart to making her happy.
As a patient at
St. Jude’s and a cancer survivor, Josh showed immense strength and bravery. His journey through
St. Jude’s was a testament to his resilience and hope.
Josh will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His spirit, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
Josh is survived by his loving wife, Kayla Tucker, of Waterford, Mississippi; his daughter, Madelyn Haney of Waterford, Mississippi; his son, Branson Haney of Waterford, Mississippi; his parents, Jerry and Deborah Tucker of Nesbit, Mississippi; his brother, Bryant Tucker (Jessica) of Memphis, Tennessee; three nieces, Hadley, Albany, and Lane Tucker of Memphis Tennessee; two nephews, Jericho and Henry Tucker of Memphis, Tennessee; two uncles, Sam Tucker (Jenn) of Southaven, Mississippi, and Dan Tucker (Denise) of Southaven, Mississippi; two aunts, Diana Stone (Jim) of Nesbit, Mississippi, and Denise McBroom (Will) of Hernando, Mississippi; and many cousins and extended family members.
