Josiah Huang Obituary

Josiah graduated from Naperville Central High School in May of 2018 and graduated from the Connections Program in May of 2022.
Josiah loved spending time with family and friends, listening to the piano, and worship music. He enjoyed watching lights, and balloons, and raising his hand to play with bells and beaded necklaces. Josiah would take his mom and sister on walks and to the park for the swings. He had a special love for bouncing on the peanut ball and trampoline and had the most contagious giggles. Josiah found comfort and contentment in being on your lap, leaning his head on your shoulder, and holding your hand. His smile was his way of spreading love and joy to others.
Josiah faithfully attended Sunday gatherings at Chinese Christian Union Church West for the past 22 years. His courage and unwavering faith in God inspired us all to learn to be faithful followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Josiah faced several medical complications with resilience and fortitude that inspired all who met him. Despite his many challenges, Josiah was a friend to all and showed everyone he met what heartfelt love looks like.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother Chong-Ha Chua, paternal grandfather Rev. Dr. Daniel Huang, aunt Esther Hagerla, parents En Hsin and Vivian, brother Joshua, sister Joanna, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Reverend John Chao officiating. Josiah's service will be live-streamed below for those who are unable to attend.
A private family inurnment will be at Naperville Cemetery.
In the event of technical difficulties, a recording will be made available after conclusion of services.
