Josiah Liam “Siah” Scott, 12 of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. He was born in Terre Haute on May 21, 2012 to James Gregory and Karah Scott.
Josiah was a 6th grade student at Otter Creek Middle School and attended Maryland Community Church. He enjoyed skateboarding, playing video games, hanging out with his friends, and watching the sunset. He wanted to be a musician when he grew up and always wanted to feed and shelter the homeless. He looked up to and wanted to be like his big brother and enjoyed playing with his little sister.
Josiah is survived by his mother Karah Scott, his father James Gregory, siblings Jhace Gregory and Krimson Scott. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Darla Scott, paternal grandparents James Gregory, Sr. and Sally Bush, as well as several half-siblings, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jim Scott.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Maryland Community Church, 4700 IN Highway 46, Terre Haute, IN 47802 on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Chaplain Mark Sellers officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Church, with cremation to follow services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either Riley Hospital for Children or the Indiana Donor Network, in his memory. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
