We are saddened to announce the passing of a remarkable woman, Joy A. Huffman, who left us on September 26, 2025. Born in Casa Grande, AZ, on January 27, 1943, Joy spent the last 41 years of her life in the beautiful city of Ogden, Utah, where she filled the lives of those around her with laughter and love.

Joy was an extraordinary woman who brought a sense of levity to every situation. Her sense of humor was infectious, and her laughter was the kind that could light up even the darkest room. She was a loving wife, a steadfast friend, and an unforgettable character. As Mark Twain once said, "The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter." And Joy, true to her name, wielded this weapon with grace and gusto. She was a machine operator in the manufacturing sector before her retirement, and anyone who worked with her would tell you that she made the daily grind feel like less of a chore and more of an adventure.

Joy leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years, Wesley Huffman, and her cherished family member, Barbara Valentine. She also leaves behind an entire community that will miss her funny quips, warm hugs, and the love she had for everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ryals and Minnie Hulsen.

Each person who had the privilege of knowing Joy Huffman has a story to tell about her. We invite you to share your memories of Joy, upload photos, and celebrate her life on her memorial page. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." And Joy, with her inimitable spirit and zest for life, gave us so many reasons to smile.
