Joyce Ann Adkins

Joyce Ann Decker Adkins, 70 years of age, of Grundy, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center. Born September 24, 1955, in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Ada Stiltner Decker.

Joyce was of the Christian faith and enjoyed traveling and gardening. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Cindy Adkins.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years Cecil Ray Adkins of Grundy, VA; daughter Kayla Blair and husband Richard of Fedscreek, KY; sons Derrow Adkins and wife Sara of Richlands, VA, Brian Adkins of Big Rock, VA, Chris Adkins and wife Amanda of Conway, VA, Philip Adkins of Big Rock, VA; sister Hazel Best of Lima, OH; brothers James Edward Stiltner of Grundy, VA, Elmer Decker of Destin, FL.

She is also survived by grandchildren Gabby Blair, Michael Blair, Zander Blair, Zadien Blair, Elijah Blair, Brianna Adkins and Josh Adkins; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain Rest Mausoleum, at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA with Pastor Danny Hess officiating. Entombment will follow.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 19th beginning at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.
