Anakin was loved so greatly by so many and will be missed deeply. His memory we will keep in our hearts forever.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Cecil Wayne Charles and Lou Ellen Charles.
He is survived by his parents Dewey Charles and Selena Marie Spencer of Grundy, VA; sisters Raelynn Faith Spencer, Emma Lou Charles, Arnie June Charles of the home; maternal grandparents Anthony Spencer of Hurley, VA, Bridgett Spencer of Big Rock, VA; maternal great-grandfathers Melvin Spencer, Jr. of Grundy, VA, Victor Justus of Hurley, VA.
He is also survived by aunts Emily Spencer, Alexis Thacker, Donna McClanahan, Traci Kinder, Staci Dotson; and uncles Michael Dotson and Michael Charles.
Funeral services for Anakin Wayne Charles will be held at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Grundy, VA, on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Elswick Family Cemetery, Big Rock, VA.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening after 6:00 p.m.
