Billy Horne Obituary

Billy was a volunteer for Dismal River Rescue Squad and the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father.
Survivors include his son Billy Horne, Jr. and wife Susan of Oakwood, VA, Patrick Ray Horne of Grundy, VA; sisters Shirley Horne, Jo Ann Horne, Shelby Horne, Betty Horne and husband Allen, all of Oakwood, VA; brother Nelson Leon Horne of Oakwood, VA; and grandchildren Elizabeth Horne, Sarah Horne and fiancé Joseph Dotson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Keen Mountain, VA, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Kinder officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday after 6:00 p.m.
