Dean was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Deloris Sweeney Adams; sisters Imogene Adams, Tiny Walters, Lynn Keene, Lucille Owens; and brother Eugene Adams.
Survivors include daughters Kayla Adams of Martinsville, VA, Deana Adams of English, WV; sisters Karen Hale of Whitewood, VA, Loraine Adams of Bartley, WV, Janet Ann Tedford and husband Randy of Raven, VA; brother Keith Adams and wife Sonia of Bartley, WV; and brothers-in-law Mickey Keene and John Walters.
He is also survived by ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Keen Mountain, VA, with Pastor Joe Bill Profitt. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Pea Patch Road, Grundy, VA.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 12:00 noon with services beginning at 1:00 p.m.
