Juanita Bryant 47, of Bluefield, WV, transitioned from her earthly life to her eternal home Thursday, September 4th, 2025.
Juanita was Born on January 30, 1978, in McDowell County and was the daughter of Anita Hyatt. Juanita graduated from Iaeger High School in 1996. She was a teacher in the Mercer and McDowell County school systems, and she absolutely loved every moment she got to spend teaching children. She never knew a stranger and would always put everyone before herself. Juanita accomplished many things in her life, like graduating with Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from Bluefield State College and Liberty University. However, being a good mother was the thing she was most proud of in her life. She was an extremely devoted Mother to her son Jeremy Ferrell and would say he was the absolute light of her life. She was also extremely proud to have a chosen daughter, Amanda Green, of whom she spent much of her time with.
Juanita faced many hardships in her life, but she chose to always see the light in life. Juanita was an amazing singer and in her early life she shared her gift of music traveling and singing in churches. She was courageous, compassionate, strong willed and extremely intelligent.
Juanita loved to travel to many places and had an amazing sense of adventure. She will be remembered for her quick wit and humorous nature. In her last act of selflessness, she donated organs and tissue to help others and to advance research for type 1 diabetes.
Juanita had two dogs Gizmo and Rufus both of whom she loved deeply and spent much of her spare time with. She also had recently rescued a kitten named Mau and helped nurse him back to health.
Left to cherish Juanita's precious memory Are: Her son Jeremy Ferrell and Daughter Amanda Green of Bluefield; Sisters, Cheryl Bryant, Samantha Coleman and Kelli Roberts all of Iager, WV; Her mother Anita Hyatt; Uncles Keith "Keef" Hyatt and Jerry Hyatt; Aunts Carol Hyatt and Donna Hyatt; and Grandmother Louise Hyatt. Also, many cousins and good friends.
Everyone would agree that we did not get to spend enough time with Juanita, and she will be endlessly missed. However, her wisdom shall live on.
Honoring Juanita's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
In lieu of sending flowers, Juanita would want you to help a stranger, call an old friend, and cherish what life has to offer.
