Lorraine Horne Jackson

Lorraine Horne Jackson, 88 years of age, of Pilgrims Knob, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side. Born September 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Henry Horne and Belvia Ward Horne.
Lorraine was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking for her family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandbabies. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Elbert Jackson, Jr, sons Ronald Jackson and Darrell Jackson, sister Juanita Keen, and brother Hubert Horne.
Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Hackworth of Jewell Ridge, VA, Anita Jackson of Pilgrims Knob, VA, and brother Wayne Horne of Grundy, VA.
She is also survived by grandchildren Tonya Hackworth-Monk, Jamie Hackworth, Jordan Hackworth, Mark Jackson, John Jackson; and great- grandchildren, Callie Hackworth, Reese Hackworth, Evie Hackworth, Karson Hackworth, Archer Hackworth and Ripley Hackworth.
Funeral services for Lorraine Horne Jackson will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Keen Mountain, VA, with Pastor Troy Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Esaw Rife Cemetery, Keen Mountain, VA.
Active pallbearers will be, Jamie Hackworth, Mark Jackson, John Jackson, Matthew Horne, Travis McGlothlin and Tommy McGlothlln.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
