Joyce Beutler Obituary
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Georgianna M. (Duffy) Herron.
Joyce's family and friends were her entire life. She was a natural caretaker and was always there for anyone in need. Joyce was truly the matriarch of the family.
Joyce loved traveling with her husband Dennis. They enjoyed cruises and traveling to Bermuda, Aruba and Hawaii. She loved family parties, celebrating her Irish heritage, nights out with the girls and spending time with her lifelong friends.
Joyce was deeply devoted to her faith and was an active member of St. Mary's Parish.
She worked for the Cowesett Inn for over 25 years, and the West Warwick and Warwick school departments.
Joyce's sweet nature and her love to dance won the hearts of her friends and caretakers at the West View Nursing Home.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Laurie Myers and her husband Stacy of North Scituate and Karen Gendron and her husband Gordon Sr. of North Kingstown; a brother, William F. Herron, Jr. of Warwick; a sister, Janice Wilcox and her husband Robert of North Kingstown; four grandchildren, Michael Muschiano, Jennifer Mitchell, Heather Connolly and Gordon Gendron, Jr. and four great-grandchildren, Skylar, Theo, Addison and Emma. She was the sister of the late Robert, Dennis, Daniel and James Herron.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 9:45 a.m. from the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Church Street, West Warwick. Interment will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory to the Rhode Island chapter of the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
