Joyce Sheredy Bierlein Saginaw, Michigan
Loving wife, mother and sister passed away peacefully Thursday, January 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Age 67 years. Daughter of the late John and Helen (Sural) Sheredy, Joyce was born June 11, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School and was a 1975 graduate of Eisenhower High School. She married Ronald Bierlein, her loving husband of 39 years, on August 17, 1985. He survives her. Joyce was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, president of American Legion Post #439 Ladies Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels and the Party on McCarty. Joyce enjoyed live music, traveling, summers up north, volunteering, helping others, and organizing events for family, friends and the community. Joyce had a zest for life, full of laughter and love!
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron; one son, Spencer and Lauren Bierlein; one sister, Janice Sheredy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom Bierlein, Mike and Kathy Bierlein, Gayle Bierlein, Kate and Brian Bailie; her beloved grand puppy, River Bean and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Bierlein; her brother, John Sheredy; and her brother-in-law, Gary Bierlein.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Monday February 3, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with the burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Legion Post #439 Ladies Auxiliary.
