Joyce Ann Chaffin, 79, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at her home.
She was born on October 25, 1943 to Joseph and Laura Berls in Leoville, Kansas.
Joyce attended high school in Seldon, Kansas and graduated in 1961.
Joyce worked as a special education teacher for School District 3 and 11 for twenty years. She was involved and helped in Goodwill Industries. Her favorite hobbies include traveling, reading, and listening to conservative radio shows about politics. Joyce's family brought her the most joy in life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. Berls and Laura M. Berls.
Those left to cherish Joyce's love and memories are her husband, Oscar Howard Chaffin Jr. of Colby, Kansas; children, Nikki, Tony (Beckey), Tonya (Ralph), Scott; grandchildren, Corey (Gerlyn), Chase, and Chanse; great-great-grandchildren, Alexzy and Gabriel; siblings, Jim Berls, Linda Moses; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the of the prayers said for Joyce and her family during this time.
There are no services at this time.
The family has entrusted The Springs Funeral Services for the care of Joyce.
