She attended schools in Yale, South Dakota and Atwater, California.
Joyce was a devoted homemaker.
She was a member of the Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Moundridge.
She is survived by her brothers, Jim (Beverly) Unruh of Isabella, OK, Jerry (Tammie) Unruh of Ringwood, OK, and Jesse Unruh (Pattie Silver) of Ringwood, OK; sister, Judy (Steve) Nightingale of Isabella, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Fairview Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Fairview, OK. Friends can listen to the service at https://listentochurch.com/listen/fairview. Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery, Fairview. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, May 22, at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Moundridge Manor in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.

To the Joyce Unruh family! My sympathy to you all. Joyce and I had a lot of connections in our growing up years! We made lots of memories living together in Rice Lake, WI. And working at the hospital together. I always felt at home in their home! In our younger years we lived in SD together. I always enjoyed visiting her in Moundridge Manor and she blessed me with a personal gift she made, like a hang up towel! I cherish her as a friend! From Lucy Schmidt
