Mrs. Joyce Faulkner

Joyce Karen Dearman Faulkner, 74 of Venus, Texas passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by her loving family on November 15, 2024. She is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Joyce was born on July 30,1950 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Gay and Thelma Dearman.
Joyce leaves behind her beloved husband of 29 years, Michael Faulkner; her children, Jimmy Johnson, Eddie and Donna Johnson, Karen and Roel Salas; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, Alec, Alyssa and several sweet great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Katrina Valenti, and nephew Chris Castleman.
Joyce graduated from Cedar Hill High School in 1968. She maintained lifelong friendships with many classmates. Joyce went on to work for Ben Franklin, Frito Lay and spent the majority of her career working for The City of Cedar Hill, where she thrived in the Parks and Recreation Department, where she ultimately retired.
Joyce met the love of her life, Michael Elton Faulkner, in Irving, Texas in 1992. They were made for each other and married on August 11th, 1995. Throughout her life, Joyce's hobbies included arts and crafts, drawing, swimming and always having fun with her family and friends. She especially loved to draw and has passed on that passion to her granddaughter, Alyssa. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren.
Joyce was a devout Christian. She loved the Lord fiercely. She prayed faithfully and was quick to share her faith with others. She also loved to watch and listen to Dr. Charles Stanley and Dr. David Jeremiah every Sunday morning. When asked about her fondest memories. Joyce answered being with her Mom and Dad the day she turned her life over to the Lord, the birth of her children, and the day she married Michael. Her lifelong motto was Pray, Pray, Pray!!!
