Joyce Foutz Harlow, 81, formerly of Roanoke, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 7th, 2023. "The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" Phil. 4:7. She was deeply grounded in faith and is rejoicing in her heavenly home call.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 10th at 2pm in Pinewood Memorial Park, 4150 E 10th Street, Greenville, NC 27848, officiated by her brother-in-christ Scott Cassell of Roanoke, VA. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of Dave and Ivette Harlow, 2122 Briley Road, Greenville, NC 27834.
Mrs. Harlow was born September 3rd, 1941 in Roanoke, VA. She was raised by her dear maternal grandmother Minnie Jane Chambers Lantz with many special memories spent with her paternal grandmother Nannie Eva Quarles Foutz.. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, baking, crocheting, and singing hymns. She enjoyed long country drives, exploring Williamsburg, Virginia, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She often expressed that her greatest joy was time with her grandchildren. She was "home" for her beloved family and loved deeply by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis David Harlow, II.
She is survived by; sister Cheryl F. Briles and husband Gene; uncle Lowell Foutz; son L. David Harlow, III and wife Ivette; daughter Kelly L. Castleman and husband Bill; grandchildren Reagan Marie, Kaylee Faith, John David, and Jentri Margaret. She married into a large Harlow family and loved her many brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special things to Vidant Home Health and Hospice, Greenville, NC, Nurse Kendrea Williams, Chaplain Jason Braswell and beloved friends Scott & Connie Cassell.
