Joyce Hoskins Obituary
Joyce Brock Hoskins, a beloved homemaker and cherished family member, was born on February 13, 1970, in Beverly, Kentucky. She peacefully passed away on May 5, 2025, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky, leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and love.
Joyce was a high school graduate who dedicated her life to her family, embodying the role of a devoted wife and aunt. Her life was marked by her warm, friendly, and welcoming presence, which endeared her to all who knew her. She found immense joy in simple pleasures, including bird watching, four-wheeling outdoors, and playing with her great nephew, Sutton.
Joyce was known for her close-knit family ties. She is survived by her loving mother, Eunice Short Brock; her very special aunt, Stella Asher; her sister, Lottie Brock; sister, Coreen Napier and Britt. As well as they special and treasured nieces and nephews: Jasmine Brock, Jacoby, Weston, Creed, Presley Helton, Tammy Brock, and Shelby David Brock and wife April. Joyce also had a very special relationship with her great-nephew, Sutton, who was most definitely her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Brock, and her husband, Rick Hoskins, along with a host of cousins and other relatives.
As we gather to celebrate Joyce's life, we invite her friends and family to join us for a visitation on May 9, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Both events will be held at the Dry Fork Holiness Church located at 53 Dryfork Rd, Helton, Kentucky with Rev. Cammie 'Bo' Caldwell and Rev. Roscoe Asher officiating. Interment will follow at the Brock Cemetery in Warbranch, Kentucky.
Joyce's spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those she touched, reminding us all of the importance of family, love, and togetherness. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
